Gastronomy fair- Food Expo, conducted in conjunction with the Tourism Association of Haiti and Le Nouvelliste on October 2, 2011 at Parc Historique de la Canne a Sucre. 37 exhibitors from various categories exhibited their products as follows: fruits and vegetables, meat and fish, dairy products, beverages and alcohol, spices, snacks and other food products. more than five media covered the event which was visited by hundreds of visitors. Peace Dividend Trust, an NGO that has been working in Haiti since June 2009, recently won the G20 SME FINANCE CHALLENGE, an online competition organized by the G20 and Ashoka's Changemakers, with support from the Rockefeller Foundation. The prize was awarded at the G-20 Summit in Seoul South Korea on 12th November for the best proposals to finance SMEs in low-income countries on a sustainable basis.click here for read the whole article.

PDM-H will be conducting a two-day procurement training session for women-owned businesses on 29-30 September. The training session will help local companies improve their understanding of the procurement process and provide them with with specific skills to better meet the procurement requirements of international buyers.
